parkStarted around 1858, Point Pleasant was known as a great place to hunt deer and fish, and Madison Lake was known by some as the greatest place in the world to fish big pickerel and big bass. It began as a boat club which boomed business and gave people food.

It morphed into more as hot days of the 20's and 30's hit and people in mass numbers would head to Point Pleasant for a dip to cool off, and a meal from the dining room. Even the likes of famous writers such as Maud Hart Lovelace and Sinclair Lewis often came through the doors of Point Pleasant.

Today, Point Pleasant is the destination hot spot of Madison Lake. Whether you are looking to do some serious fishing, or looking to just relax and site by the campfire Point Pleasant is the place. Activities include fishing, swimming, pontooning, water sports, beautiful walks, campfires, grilling, a park for the kids, the Legion for libations and food featuring Kate's kitchen.
